ACA Awards of Excellence

Program overview

The ACA Awards of Excellence are designed to honor outstanding individuals who excelled during the previous ski racing season.

Throughout the alpine skiing season, thousands of officials, volunteers, coaches and ski racers of all ages worked tirelessly to maintain a sustainable ski racing system in Canada and provide opportunities for young aspiring athletes to reach their maximum potential.

The ACA Awards of Excellence have been granted annually since 2002. Throughout the years, over 70 outstanding recipients have been honored for their relentless commitment to reach our objectives of becoming the best alpine ski nation in 2010 and beyond.

NEW this year is the "Fan Choice of the Year award". Through our online system, Canadians from accross the country are invited to vote for their favorite ski racers. Take the time and vote for your Fan Choice of the Year.

The Award nominees are selected upon receipt of a complete application from Nominators. All applications are required to meet the selection criteria in order to be evaluated.

The 2006-07 Awards will be presented at various galas throughout the fall.

Awards nominations are open to the general public. Provincial Sport Organizations’ are encouraged to send in nominations as well and will be contacted by the ACA selection committee to ensure all nominees are members of good standing within their respective province.

All applications will remain confidential. Only the winner of each category will be announced to the public.
